A singular album from the jazz guitarist more well-known for his later period funk records Fisher grooves here with a stripped-down jazz sound and group featuring organ and a second guitarist in Phil Westmoreland. Soul and style prevail, especially on the title track and a transcendent 12-minute take on The Shadow Of Your Smile. This Verve By Request title is pressed on 180-gram vinyl at Third Man in Detroit. Tracklist:Side A1. Scorched Earth2. A Dude Called Zeke3. Shut Up4. The Third Cup Side B1. Two By Two2. Shoo-Be-Doo-Be-Doo-Be-Do-Da-Day3. The Shadow Of Your Smile (Theme From The Sandpiper)
